Monday,
May 19th - Sooke District Lionesses Gail N and Sue W assisted
with marshalling the entries for the Victoria Day Parade.

Lions Dave N, Sooke District Lionesses Gail N and Sue W,
Sooke Lions Greg S and South Van Isle Lions Club members
worked togetther getting the parade entries out on the street
on time and in order.

District Lioness volunteered at the Sooke Lioness Lions
2nd Duck Race at Sooke Flats, assisted by Lioness Sue W's
mother, Maggie (far left) and two students (back). Around

Our
activity was the children's waddle race. Lioness Sue W helped
with the barbecue. And she was one of 7 lucky winners - her
duck raced well, coming in 3rd place and won a camera for
Sue !

District Lionesses Isabella N and President Ellen M assisted
the Sooke Lions and Sooke Lioness Lions at the annual Christmas
Tree Chip-in for the Kids outside the Sooke Home Hardware.
Over
180 trees were received in 2 days and the donations will
be used to support Easter Seal Camp Shawnigan.

Sept. 9, 2007, Sooke Lions Club held first annual Great Chili
Challenge fundraiser in conjunction with Sooke Fall Fair. Seven
teams participated. Lioness Gail N. assisted Sooke Lions Club
pouring soft drinks "to cool the fires" of the over
300 people who took the taste test at each booth. |
