On Deck for the Cure on ship

This year our Lioness Club was unable to participate in the CIBC Run for the Cure in Victoria. However, Lioness Gail N and her husband, Lion Dave were on the Volendam on their way to Japan. Holland America ships fundraise for the Komen Foundation which supports breast cancer research in the United States.

2008

Sunday, October 5, 2008 - Sooke District Lionesses President Gail N, Tail Twister Jo B and Secretary Sue W at the CIBC Run for the Cure at the University of Victoria. We were again joined by Gail's sister, Robin (celebrating 3 1/2 years as a breast cancer survivor) and her friend, Harry. Even though the day was a little drizzly, we had fun and raised about $700.00 for breast cancer research.
