May 2nd - the 6th Annual 32 Km Galloping Goose Walk - Our Sooke District Lioness Banner displayed at the startpoint at the Westshore Arena (Juan de Fuca Rec Center) in Colwood. Westshore Lions volunteer Roy J. at the pledge/donation table.

This was the most successful 32 Km Walk yet, raising just over $4800.00 in pledges, donations and registrations after expenses, enough to send 2 handicapped children to Camp Shawnigan for a week this summer. One Lion from the Central Saanich Lions Club raised $1400.00 !
